⬛ OUTDATED TACTICS. Feels like I need to shout this: Stuff that worked in 2022 or 2023, might not work in 2024. Virtually everything is changing rapidly. Attention spans are measurably reducing. How you capture attention and the systems you need to scale up, require higher levels of sophistication now. But you still see founders clinging to antiquated practices.

⬛ MICROMANAGING. Shifting from ‘hands-on’ to master delegator takes work. Closing the skills gap, trusting your team and keeping everyone in the loop are not always executed fast enough.

⬛ INSUFFICIENT INFRASTRUCTURE. I’m not just talking about the tech stack which underpins your product or service, if you’re a SaaS business. The infrastructure which supports your entire customer journey must be able to best in class. It needs to jet-propel the scale-up AND cope with the increased demand it helps to generate. This frequently gets neglected 🙂
