Why should you be actively hiring for neurodiversity?

It’s hard to think of many elite entrepreneurs who could be classed as having a neurotypical brain.

IKEA founder, Ingvar Kamprad had ADHD and dyslexia.

Richard Branson has dyslexia.

Elon Musk is autistic.

The list goes on.

I’ve certainly noticed there seems a higher than average prevalance of neurodiversity in successful entrepreneurs , compared to wider society.

In my opinion, the biggest benefit to actively recruiting neurodivergent personnel into your business is REDUCED GROUP THINK.

If business is about solving problems, you want creative problem solvers on YOUR team and not your competitor’s.

Branson himself once said that the world needs more dyslexic thinking.

And he is right. Neurodiversity is a superpower.
